RCHC to Sponsor Foodlink’s Mobile Pantry in Rushville, NY

RUSHVILLE, NY – March 19, 2014 – Rushville Community Health Center (RCHC) announced today it will sponsor Foodlink’s Mobile Pantry Program on the third Thursday of each month, beginning on April 17, 2014, from 5pm – 7pm at Rushville United Methodist Church 26 N. Main St. Rushville, NY 14544.

The Mobile Pantry provides communities with access to essential, nutritious food free of charge. Everyone 18 years of age and older will be helped on a first come, first served basis—regardless of income or where you live.

Volunteers from Rushville Community Health Center, Rushville United Methodist Church, other Community Agencies, and community members will be on hand to assist participants with an assortment of grocery items such as fresh fruits and vegetables, and bakery items like breads and pastries.

According to Lynn Bodine, RCHC Practice Manager, “We are thrilled to be able to bring the Foodlink Mobile Pantry Program to our community to help people stretch their food budget and eat healthier at the same time.”
