RPCN Awarded United Health Foundation Behavioral Health Integration Grant

Rochester, NY – January 12, 2015 – Regional Primary Care Network (RPCN) will improve access to care for individuals in need of behavioral health services at three of its Community Health Centers thanks to a three-year $1,430,707 grant from United Health Foundation.

Through this project, RPCN’s Rushville Community Health Center, Utica Community Health Center, and its sub-recipient, Genesee Health Service, will be able to deliver fully-integrated behavioral health services to better assist patients in a primary care setting. Staff will soon include licensed behavioral health providers and dedicated behavioral health care managers. Quality improvement activities will be put in place, all staff will be trained extensively, and a HIPAA-compliant teleconferencing network will be installed for communication between the Centers and the psychiatrist at Rochester Regional Health System.
